Home > Antislip > Installation

Antislip can be installed in any weather and can be used immediately after installation.

Antislip can be installed on Timber, Concrete, Open Mesh and Steel Plate. It is important to ensure that Antislip is always fully supported. If required, Antislip can be trimmed to size using an industrial jigsaw and appropriate cutting blades (“Bosch TIOI AIF” or similar are ideal).

We recommend the following fixings.

To timber:
30mm x 5mm zinc plated or stainless steel screws

To steel plate:
No. 8 x 20mm self-tapping pan head Pozi stainless steel screws or No. 8 x 20mm self drilling pan head Philips zinc plated screws.

To concrete:
30mm x 5mm zinc plated or stainless steel impact anchors (Hilti HPS-1 or similar)
To open mesh:
Stainless steel or zinc plated saddle clips and domed head bolts suitable in length for the depth of the existing treads.

Alternatively, the tread can be glued to sound, clean, dry surfaces using a suitable high strength gap filling adhesive (use “Gripfill” or similar).

Cleaning & Maintenance
Antislip can easily be made as new by a simple annual cleaning using a hose with a regular nozzle or by using a power washing machine to remove normal build ups of dirt that may accumulate on the surface.

For all stains, usually a good soaking with detergent and water and then some agitation using a brush on the stain in question and then a wash down with clear water will facilitate a clean surface as good as new.
In the event of staining from food or beverages it is recommended to use a solution of mild detergent and warm water, applied by brush or from a power washer. Rinse the Antislip product with clear water. It is recommended that for all of these procedures, eye and hand protective wear be employed.
